Lots of healing!!!

I know it's because of the antibiotics,  I feel like the moisturizing is actually irritating my skin though. It seems to weep more easily and the stingers are WAY worse. My skin looks great though, I just feel like I have electricity in my body.

Day 491-Fast Healing

So after just two days of my medicine the boils are already coming to a head, usually this can take weeks. One of the boils even popped while I was at work. Luckily we were slow enough that I was able to take care of it.

Also my skin is shedding a LOT and big pieces, just like last time. However, I think the doxy is working waaaaay better than the keflex.

Day 489- Emergency Dermatologist Appt.

I broke down and went to a dermatologist. I really didn't want to because...well we all know why. They don't believe in TSW and try to force steroids on me every time. I was very firm in telling her no, she then suggested the "cousin to topical steroids" which was protopic. NO! NO! NO!

When the heavier steroids stopped working I turned to the Protopic, which was a miracle. It worked wonderfully! Every three days...until my eczema would come crawling back enveloping my body. Here's a photo of me back in August 2012.

 I'm slathered in Protopic. Then it would burn, it would continue to burn sometimes for days.. I describe the "burn" feeling something like the frost bite feeling you get after playing in the cold snow for too long.

Luckily she took no for an answer and gave me a big ol list of prescriptions, as I had two severe infections. She gave me a bacteria ointment for the scaling around my mouth, a new antibiotic, hydroxyzine (which doesn't help!) and a new skin barrier cream called epicerum. ALL STEROID FREE! She also says my skin barrier is compromised and I need heavy moisturizing. That doesn't work for me. I don't want to. But maybe I'll do this short course of moisturizers and antibiotics and then go back to moisturizer withdrawal. I won't look forward to doing that again. I remember the first week or so was pretty painful, who knows maybe this will be for the better.

Day 488

Well another 3 boils showed up and I feel awful. 2 more on my leg, I feel sick. I need to see a doctor, I can't carry on like this.

Here are the two that I popped a few days ago. Although they are healing it feels hard still, like there's something in there. It's still too swollen for me to wear my wedding ring.

Day 486-Boil Explodes

So the boil that was on my leg came to a head and popped while I was in the tub. There was quite a lot of pressure and it exploded twice, barley missing my face. So I wasn't able to get pictures.

Another one I got in my armpit, I squeezed so hard it bruised.

The pressure behind this lil thing is amazing.  I feel like any bump could make it explode but it's fairly stable.

When we were getting ready for bed my finger was in SO much pain I wanted to try and pop it even if it wasn't "ready."

But it was and I was able to get another lovely photo.

Day 484

These things are getting pretty painful. I hope this is over soon. I hope this is the last of them. I won't be able to wear my wedding ring for a little bit.

 I've got some pretty deep cuts here as well. I need to be careful not to scratch these off and not to smile...

Day 482- Boils-Getting Worse

Oh boy! More Boils! >:(
Since the last post I've had recurring boils.  I usually have 1 or 2 boils at a time, but as soon as it forms a head and pops (painful weeks) another 1 or 2 pop up! (no pun intended)

Sorry for the hairy legs, but there is NO WAY I'm shaving and increasing my chances of more boils.

I experienced another hive flare, so here are a few (blurry) photos as well as some of the boils that haven't formed a head yet. At this moment I have 2 boils. I have one on my leg and on on my wedding ring finger, both on the left side.

The scabbing above my lips is getting worse as well, there's nothing I can do to get it to go away or clear up.
