These were taken 12/4/14 as the boil started to take over my face.
The last allergic reaction I had left some damage, including boils.I don't know if you've ever had a boil, but it's awful. And as you saw in the last post it was right next to my lip. I even have a lovely video! I'll have to put it upon reddit/popping, they'll love it. I've been trying to upload it here on blogger but it never makes it past the "Processing Video" point. So here it is from some other site.
These were taken on 12/6/14 and yes I had to work with this thing on my face. This is what it looked like by the end of my shift. Before and after the pop.
Other then that just more healing and as always I'm trying to keep the damage I cause to a minimum. Infact other than the boils I seem pretty healthy... I tried scheduling a dermatology appt through zocdoc, but I got an email the day before saying that the office had canceled my appointment. No reason, nothing. So it might be a bit until I get to setting up another appt, irritated. Sorry for the blurry photos.
First, I'd like to start off by that saying through out this flare I have eaten what I've what wanted.
Occasionally I would experience a small flares "caused" by food. But the food that I had been able to eat either before or during an earlier time in my withdrawal, have now put me on high alert. I'm scared to eat.
The cause? Nuts.
But seriously. Just normal nuts that I would get EVERY holiday season. This caused a tiny reaction that turned into a painful itchy swelling mess. I took so much bendryll. Let me tell you the tale.
After eating a few and some hives popped up and I stopped eating. But now I wonder if there was some type of oil? or something on the nuts and I didn't wash my hands and scratched it worse.
Here's what it was like at first. I thought it would just pass...
But silly me, it got worse.
Tonight I was the mayor of hive city....maybe soon to be...boil city.
We celebrated Thanksgiving early this year. Since Ian works on thanksgiving we celebrated it on Monday. It feels weird to be writing about thanksgiving again. I remember writing last thanksgivings blog like it was yesterday.
I thought I would have an easier time cooking since I am further into my withdrawal then I was last year. But I was also using Vaseline and baths daily. My hands weren't to the point where I they had splits and cracks. But this time they were. I tried to be fast when it came to cooking. I stuffed the bird quickly, cut vegetables quickly but once again Ian had to help a lot. Especially with pealing and cutting those starchy potatoes. He didn't mind though, we like cooking together. I also made gravy for the first time! Ian an I also cooked my first baked mac and cheese dish.
It was just Ian and I again this year and it was wonderful. I hope next Thanksgiving is TSW free. <3
I hope everyone had a good thanksgiving, keep your chin up Red Skin Warriors!
426 days of this crap. At least it's finally getting easier.
I don't get as many zingers as I used to and I haven't had any oozy attacks lately. Still stupid itchy.
I also feel like some of the elephant-ness is going down a lil. I can see clearer patches on my face and my wedding ring is loose again!
A lot of the huge owies I had on my face and neck have finally healed up and again, I'm just trying to keep the damage I do to a minimum.
My birthday is coming soon! I can't wait! And then Turkey day!
